I was a little skeptical since this was made of plastic, but since it had a lot of positive reviews, I thought I’d give it a try. I must admit, this grill brush does the job wonderfully. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easily it cleaned the grill without much heavy scrubbing. I just had a party and recommended it to all of my guests.
Not many things perform as described, but the Grill Daddy Pro does. I recently had an embarrassing moment. I was grilling for company and the grill caught fire because I had let too much grease accumulate on the grates and in the drip pan. Part of the reason was my worthless grill brush. Now I’m a ninja about keeping my barbecue clean and Grill Daddy Pro does most of the job for me. It cleans the grates just as effectively as as steel wool…but without the mess. The high quality grill brush removes the barbecued-on food particles and the steam melts away the rest. If there is sufficient accumulation on the underside of your grates, just wait till they cool down, turn them over, and repeat the process. I love this tool!
Tried the Grill Daddy on my gas grill. It cleaned very well, not totally clean, but cleaner that a regular brush. Worth the expense.
My Mother-in-law bought this for me two years ago. I was a little shocked because she had never BBQ’d before and I was the “Grill King” in our family. I held off using it for a few months because I didn’t think much of the idea. Well my old brush finally needed replacing so I used the Grill Daddy Pro brush. I was amazed how well it worked. Everytime I used it, I was impressed with how clean it got my BBQ.
Well its two years later and I was pressed for the perfect gift to give my brother. He is a BBQ guy too, so I was excited when I came up with the idea to get one for him. When he opened it, he gave me the same look I gave my Mother-in-law….the look of “I know what I’m doing and I don’t need your help”. I told him my story and that I have two years of satisfied experience with the Grill Daddy. He commented that my BBQ is always clean and that he was looking forward to giving it a try.
I give this product an A+.
I was looking for a replacement brush from my old Weber wood/brass brush and since this was the top selling unit on Amazon I decided to give this a try.
And wow how much better this brush works. It takes far less effort than my old wood/brass brush because of the steam generated and the leverage for the angle design.
So why 4 stars.
It is big and made of cheap plastic, so storing is somewhat problematic as it too big for a kitchen drawer and too ugly to hang.
I do think it is a great gift idea for anyone that grills because it works so well.
Hint: Because this product is basically a steam cleaner, I find the best time to use this product is after I cook as it helps cool down the grill.
